| Control-loop targets | Current: 20–40 kHz; speed: approximately 1–2 kHz; position: approximately 1 kHz | Final rates depend on controller, feedback, timing, and application requirements |
| Power switching | Three-phase inverter; proposed SiC MOSFET stage; 40–100 kHz switching study | Device technology and frequency remain subject to efficiency, thermal, and EMC trade studies |
| Power regulation | 3.3 V logic; 5 V sensors; isolated gate-driver supplies; per-rail eFuse protection | Reverse-polarity, surge, inrush, and fault monitoring provisions |
| Position feedback | Absolute encoder with redundant channels; Hall sensing | SPI, SSI, or BiSS-C interface selection; resolution and accuracy to be defined |
| Customer interface | CAN FD commands, configuration, status, and diagnostics | Power and CAN connectors selected around packaging and environment |
| Isolation | Proposed galvanic separation of logic and power, with isolated control and CAN interfaces | Isolation ratings and boundary implementation to be defined |
| Monitoring & protection | Current, bus voltage, and distributed temperature sensing; derating; hardware torque-disable path | Redundancy, shutdown behavior, and safety integrity require application-specific validation |
| Firmware & diagnostics | Secure boot, hardware watchdog, authenticated service access, event and fault logging | Security implementation and CAN command protocol remain in development |
Environmental and EMC planning includes evaluation against selected MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 requirements where applicable. Test methods, severity levels, power-quality requirements, and acceptance criteria will be agreed for each application. These are design objectives, not completed qualifications, radiation-hardness claims, or certified Safe Torque Off functionality.
